We're going to review what we've learned about fractions so far, then start comparing fractions with like and unlike denominators (SOL 3.3c). Students will have to cross-multiply for this skill, so keep practicing those multiplication facts daily! Keep up the great work with IXL, also! There will be a cumulative fractions test on Friday.
Science: (with Mrs. King)
Science: (with Mrs. King)
Mrs. King will continue with the investigation of matter this week (SOL 3.2). There will be a quiz on Thursday - review all notes, study guides, and vocabulary!
Social Studies:
We will begin our unit on Ancient Greece this week (SOL 3.1, 3.4a). This is a lot of information and we will be comparing Ancient Greece with Ancient Rome and Mali over the next few weeks. The Greece quiz will be next Monday. I don't normally like to give an assessment on a Monday, but due to missing so much school - we are on a time crunch! Thanks for your understanding. =)
