Week of 5/11

Happy Mother's Day to all the fabulous moms of our class! =) I hope that all the kids did their homework - to treat you like a queen this weekend!

Here's a glimpse of what we'll be working on this week:

Language Arts:
Story: The Pinata Maker

Phonics: syllabication (multi-syllabic words)

Strategy: Drawing conclusions
Skills:  Steps in a process/sequencing

Math:

We are continuing our geometry unit this week, focusing on lines, points, line segments, and rays (SOL 3.15). Later in the week, we'll review symmetry and congruency (SOL 3.16). The geometry unit test will be on Friday. Remember to keep reviewing all math skills on ixl.com and to practice all math facts - the SOL test is June 2nd and 3rd. 

Science: (with Mrs. King)

Social Studies:

We're going to continue with our economics unit (SOLs 3.7-3.9). Keep reviewing vocabulary and notes!
