WritingHow-to writing, editing/revising

Math:
We're going to continue working on time (SOL 3.11a) this week - with a test on Wednesday for time to the nearest minute, before/after the hour, and fractional parts of an hour (quarter past/quarter to, half past); they should also know how much time as passed between two given times (elapsed time). On Thursday, we'll be going over calendar skills and equivalent periods of time. Keep practicing all facts and reviewing skills on IXL!

Science: (with Mrs. King)
Mrs. King will be covering the water cycle this week (SOL 3.9) - stay tuned to the agenda for homework/upcoming quiz/test information.

Social Studies:
We started the European explorers (SOL 3.3) before break (briefly), now we'll dig a little deeper. Students have to be able to describe the motivations for and accomplishments of Christopher Columbus, Juan Ponce de Leon, Jaques Cartier, and Christopher Newport. All information and study guides are in the social studies IN (interactive notebook). Please review nightly as this is a lot of information!
